Marino Custom Build
Commuter bike
Fancy build
700c
Finding a full-chrome frame in good condition isn’t easy, but thankfully Pedal Pedlar had one in stock and it was stunning. I don’t know much about the brand, but it’s a lovely Italian-made frame branded Marino.
The build is classic, with a great mix of high-spec components and vintage gems. I kicked things off with this beautiful Stronglight 80 crankset with a proper drillium chainring, it really gives the whole build its character. I paired it with a sweet Campagnolo Avanti groupset I nabbed at the last Babyldn bike jumble, along with some MKS track pedals.
Notice the lovely Campagnolo Record friction shifters mounted on Velo Orange bosses. There are some beautiful little bits from Freshstripe , Dia Compe SS6 brake levers paired with Nissen brake cable and Simworks brass ferrules. And to top it all off, a gorgeous Selle Italia leather saddle.
